JUST CHAMPION

 by Tony Butler

The Midlands Championship embraces all the stars from both the East and West Midlands This year the event was run on the Lakeside course at Worcester and run by the University.

Perhaps it was predictable that one of the champions would be Spencer Corder who has just cleaned up in all the eleven races he has been in this autumn not so predictable was that team mate Alex Burden would come home 3rd and that Zoe Parker would be 3rd in the girls championship. Zoe was again supported by Harriet Tinsley who finished 7th.

Another great achievement was for the clubs senior ladies with Alison Bagnel 2nd and Julieann Parker 3rd in there age related section.

Among other star performances was Ruben Stringfellow 4th in the under 10's event, Tamsin Moss 6th in the under 8's and Jonathan Masters 14th in the tough under 14 class.

Two of the clubs consistent veterans Carl Max Taylor was 14th and Robin Corder 38th in their age related event.
