The new Midlands circuit championship got under way with the first round taking place at the purpose built circuit at Stourport on Severn. With 7 competitors in the under 12 event Stratford cycling clubs youngsters showed why they are a force to be reckoned with. The event attracted guest riders form all over Wales and and made for a tough but exciting event. It was the Welsh national under 12 mountain champion and Cyclo Cross champion Emyr Truelove who was first over the line but as a guest he is not in line for the Midlands championship but provided much needed competition for Spencer Corder as he scored maximum points as he was next over the line. Alex Burden was 2nd and Lewis Tinsley 6th in the west Midlands rankings and were followed home by Ben Machin 19th ; Noah Harvey 24th and Joe Green 26th. Jessica Marcroft was 10 th in the girls section.

Not to be outdone Zoe Parker won the girls under 10 event and Samuel Abbott was 11th in the boys event. In the boys under 14 event Baden Green was 10th and Tom Charles 21st.  Jess O'Riley was pleased to finish 2nd as a Junior in her event but will be looking for that elusive win next time round.

Meanwhile Stratford's seniors got their season off to a promising start in the Malvern open 10 mile time trial where Nick Green recorded 22 mins 57; Martin Millington 23.23 ; Michael Stallard 23.35 Stepen Eggleton 24.57 Adrian Osborne 25.21 and (Under 14) Baden Green 26.24
