Spencer Corder remains the one to beat!
by Tony Butler
Stratford Cycling Club have had to contend with a lack of facilities for the whole of this year due to ongoing building works disrupting their facilities at the Home Guard club. This has forced them to try different venues on a temporary basis all around Stratford until the renewed and much improved facilities become available in the spring. Despite the effect on numbers this year a hard core of youngsters has kept the flag flying for the club to great effect. In round seven of the Sponsored West Midlands cyclo cross league Tamsin Moss was again 2nd in the under 8 race and Zoe Parker 2nd in the under 12's girls events. In the boys events Ruben Stringfellow was 3rd in the under 10 race with team mate Callum Moss 6th..
Spencer Corder remains the one for all comers to beat but again he came home 1st well ahead of the next rider. He was followed home by team mates Alex Burden 7th ; Joshua Darlow 13th and Samuel Abbott 18th.
At senior level Phillip Bromwich was 24th in the 40 plus age race while Carl Max Taylor was 18th and Julieann Parker was 14th in the ladies event.
An additional non league race was held at Ludlow sponsored by Isla Bikes seeing Spencer Corder win again by a margin of 64 seconds with Lewis Tinsley 4th ; Joshua Darlow 8th and Samuel Abbott 12. while Carl Max Taylor was 11th in the 50 plus race.
