Stratford Cycling Club have a thriving junior section with weekly coaching sessions for riders aged five to sixteen from British Cycling qualified coaches. Our coaching sessions are designed to suit a broad range of abilities and experience providing an inclusive environment where we aim to have a lot of fun while training hard. Many of our juniors compete in circuit racing and cyclo cross and we provide additional organised social rides, trips to the velodrome and other events.
We run our Monday night coaching sessions at the Home Guard Club in Tiddington. We are fortunate to have a fantastic venue and facilities with a floodlit 400m oval track, an off-road course and use of the well equipped club house. During the autumn and winter months we concentrate on off-road skills and then after the February half term break we move to the track, preparing for the summer racing season.

The club provides four different coaching levels to suit all ages and abilities. The groups are not categorised by age but on riding ability.
On your first visit to a session, our qualified coaches will assess your riding skills to ensure you are placed in the most suitable coaching group. Riders are continually assesed to ensure they are always in a group that reflects their ability.
Junior membership in the club entitles a young person to attend club sessions and to ride in competition for Stratford Cycling Club. Juniors may only ride in Senior club activities when a club coach advises that the activity will be suitable for the young person, this is to protect the young person from a situation where they are found out of their depth. When a young person is ready to start riding with the senior section then this will be managed for each individual to make the transition as safe, fun and beneficial as possible.
