Cyclocross riders from all over the West Midlands came together for this years annual awards held at The National Conference Centre and we are extremenly proud of our Team Winners. Oliver and Nathan took the applause for the U12 Team Award 2023/24 where we came 3rd. Scarlett, Oliver whilst Nathan and coach Alan took the applause for the Mick Ives Participation Award where we came 3rd. Every rider helped achieve these team results, it’s great to be up there in the Team awards and we are really proud of all our riders (the young and the not so young).

Individual prizes awarded on the day.

Tara was applauded for coming 3rd in the Under 8’s.
Nathan took to the front to receive his trophy where he came 2nd in the Under 10s.
Scarlett took the honours in winning the Under-16 Female and Under- 16 Female One Bike trophies.
David was applauded for his 3rd place Junior Male.
Coach Alan stepped forward to receive his V55-59 Male awards where he achieved 3rd overall and 1st for V55-59 Male One Bike.
Rich Shepherd was applauded for his top 3 result. (V40-44).
Paul Freeman had a fantastic season scoring enough points to earn him 2nd (V65-69) and winning the One Bike category.

Meanwhile in the very competitive Central Cyclocross, League Jorgie Gillett was 2nd in U12s. Stratford CC riders are reaching far and wide and being successful in Stratford colours. Well done Jorgie.

Finally honourary mentions of our 2nd claim riders' success in the WMCCL.

Andy Owen (Ollie’s dad who wears a Kenlworth Wheelers jersey) came 2nd in V50-54 Male One Bike

Alison Bagnall (Juniors Coach and riding for Rotor) 3rd in V55-59 female. Alison is probably too bashful to say it, but she is also British Cyclocross National Champion in her age group. we are all very proud of her as a club and especially in the Junior Section where she excels as a coach.
